Justin Bara

As Assistant Controller, Justin supports Helena’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and investment performance tracking.

Prior to joining Helena, Justin worked as a Senior Associate at Standish Management, a $700B AUA fund administration firm. In this role, he specialized in preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements and reporting for multiple venture funds and special purpose vehicles. He managed full-cycle fund accounting, including capital activity, investor relations, complex allocations, and year-end audit packages. Earlier in his career, Justin served as a Tax Associate at Caras & Schulman, P.C., where he supported day-to-day tax operations and prepared annual tax returns for a diverse client base.

Justin earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Lasell University. Outside of work, he is actively involved with a local animal rescue giving shelter dogs a break from kennel life including fostering a three-year-old dog named Oliver, who has since become a permanent member of his family.
